M.Falconer is a self-taught visual artist from Toronto. As a first generation Canadian, she was raised with the mentality that pursuing a corporate career was the only road to success. While studying Economics in university, she quickly began to regret her educational path which led to her experiencing depression. So she turned to painting to save her mental health. Motivated by her new found passion, she made it her mission to inspire others to follow their dreams, despite societal expectations. By creating pop art paintings inspired by Black culture, she hopes to empower people to feel represented, hopeful, confident and loved.
