We’re so excited to announce the launch of “Living Room Concerts”! We invite you to join us on December 2nd from 6-11 PM EST to celebrate the beginning of this series! 🥳
Living Room Concerts is a weekly performance series presented by The Gift Shop and powered by Imani Dominique that showcases 18 emerging singers, spoken word artists, rappers, and more. We aim to create a space where Toronto artists can develop professionally, build community, and share their art. Through Living Room Concerts, we’re also working to shift the infrastructure of Toronto’s emerging music scene. We not only provide our community of artists with a space to perform to an intimate and supportive audience, but we also work with them to develop their business acumen - empowering them to thrive in the industry.
“Living Room Concerts" features performances by: Erin Browne, Lenae Raye, Lisha Racquelle, Dingani, Rosabell, LOWERCASE, MARCY, Lynn, tété, Anddre Mafra, Ssunday, Sweezyandthediscopunk, SpokenbyT, Tito, Toussaint, Angelique Dancel, TRYZTN, Shahaddah Jack, Summerkamp, kaya joan, Shakkoi, Zico, Magenta, Mora, Marz, Juliet-Jones Rodney, Victory, and Osé.
Curated by @imani.dominique and inspired by the aesthetics of local record stores, “The Gift Shop” is an interactive and immersive art gallery. Through engaging professional development workshops and creative activations hosted in the space, this program also provides emerging and mid-career artists with an opportunity to incubate their businesses and develop their entrepreneurial skills.
